  So many times I have turned my business taxes in on time, only to get a letter and fine for turning them in late. It doesn't matter when I turn them in, they always record it as late. I always fight it, and they always let it off. But the constant need to contact them to let off silly fines is annoying. In addition, they're requiring so many documents for my personal tax return again. I already sent them my W2s, ID, etc. But they're holding off my return unless I provide documentation AGAIN. If I don't provide it in time, they'll take MORE taxes. Sorry, but this is bureaucracy at its worst.

  Paid our sales tax in full of over $2200. The rep didn't attach it in their system and left it on hold. So they tried to put a lien on our car and made us pay a penalty because it was "late/ on hold" even though it was fully deducted from our account for 2 months. Made us pay another penalty of $56 for their mistakes.

  It took them 3 years to revise my state tax return from 2014, and then say I owe $500+ dollars and then charge me late interest for their slow ability to process information, paperwork, and mail the needed changes, whomever processed this needs to be evaluated and replaced that can process this much quicker this office is a joke, and they do not know how to interact with people whether in person or on paper, if I could give them a negative score I would give them -10.

  Julie was extremely helpful and patient in answering some of my business tax questions through the phone, the wait to get answered was about 20 mins but it was worth it to finally have some clarification on my questions.

  Utah Tax stupidity at it's finest. Automobiles are taxed at the highest rates and re-taxed the same year if sold. Now they don't include mileage information on the title for vehicles more than 10 years old. Those of us with classic or higher end cars are left without state documentation. NOT acceptable.
